Game Description
Crowfall was a massively multiplayer online role-playing game-real-time strategy game that I started working on as an Associate Engineer at ArtCraft Entertainment in December 2020. The game launched in July 2021. After an acquisition, I officially started as a Software Engineer at Monumental in 2022. The game shut down in November 2022, though I continued working on Crowfall-related work until the start of 2023.
Experience:
- Fixed server and client bugs in Unity related to the Eternal Kingdoms system in Crowfall which let players design their own kingdoms
- Implemented improvements for the group system UI in Crowfall
- Implemented a log for chests that players could access to see who added or removed items
- Implemented several database updates related to building placement which required familiarity with MySQL
- Investigated performance improvements for Crowfall with a goal of having one hundred players on screen at 60 FPS
- Used GitLab Merge Requests for code reviews
- Estimated and tracked tasks in Jira
